As a mom (especially with a newborn and 2 toddler boys) I take my multi-tasking to a whole new level. My list of things to get done seems to never end. So I need to be able to accomplish everything as quickly and efficiently as possible. Sometimes though my new baby girl wants all of mommy’s attention. Times when she wants to be held while I’m trying to do something can be frustrating. So I went searching the web for baby carriers. One thing I’ve learned - not all baby carriers are created equal! Some are hard to figure out with all their snaps and loose ends. Some are made like slings with so much material I feel like I’m lost making a tent. And then you have to check to make sure it’s the right size for your child. Newborn carriers need more support. All this put together… Makes everything all the more frustrating.

I was given the chance to try out the Boba Baby Carrier. It came with simple step-by-step instructions. It has a very ergonomic design and such cute patterns! I can now carry my darling girl while folding the laundry, washing dishes or just going for walks. She gets to see and study more than just what’s in front of the couch. The stimulation also helps to keep her awake longer in the day. Before the carrier, she slept for hours at a time only waking to feed or when her diaper needed to be changed. At the same time, when she is ready for her nap, the motion puts her right to sleep. Its just like what she’s used to in the womb.
I like that it’s very comfortable to wear. The instruction booklet was easy to read and even came in several languages. The material and making is very sturdy; this carrier could last a long time through several kids. There is a pouch in the front you could carry your phone in that also has a zipper pocket in the side. You could carry your credit card, a few dollars and ID if you are going out walking somewhere.

For bigger kids, there are foot holds that you can attach and take off as needed. So your child’s feet can rest comfortably instead of randomly dangling. My baby was only 3 weeks old and a little over 8lbs (but long and thin), so I did have issues at first with getting her settled into the carrier. She likes to curl up in a ball against my chest so her face ends up smushed against me and I had to keep turning it to the side. But they do have a way of tightening the back where her head is so that she has more support behind her. She’s not bobbing around in there. I also like the head cover that you can pull out of the front pouch and put away when you don’t need it. Texas sun rays are hot and burn strong on a baby’s delicate skin. My babies have naturally fair skin so they tend to burn easily if we are in direct sun light too long. It’s nice to be able to cover her head when we go out and not have to use a blanket (suffocating) or my hand (taking away my multi-tasking ability). By the time I submitted this review, my baby was over 5 weeks and starting to hold herself up a little better. She settled in comfortably and enjoyed looking around for a longer time while I didn’t have to worry about her face being pressed into my chest as much. It really is a great investment as far as baby carriers go. It will save you time and energy as you go through the day while also providing an excellent bonding tool.
