Lego KidsFest!
Lego’s are a very popular toy these days. It’s a grand Lego convention geared mostly for children but adults tend to have fun at them too. People travel to these types of conventions all over the country to see things made completely of Lego’s. It offers Lego fans things that are common to conventions: workshops, presentations, special events and challenges. Lego’s has become a very popular toy – one that is loved not just by kids but by adults all over the world as well. Conventions like Lego KidsFest are sprouting all over and sparking more and more interest in them.

This year, KidsFest will be hosting their 4th convention locally! It will be in Austin, Texas start August 31st and ending September 2nd. As their website says it “brings all of the creative hands-on, minds-on fun of LEGO building and experiences together in one activity- and entertainment-packed family event for children of all ages and builders of all skills and interests”. http://www.legokidsfest.com/austin/ They will have concessions within the convention, but also have a link if you want to find food elsewhere within walking distance.
As a parent, I personally like the “Lost Parents Meeting Spot”. Should you become separated with your child (and in a busy convention – it’s bound to happen at least once with someone!) they have a “Lost Parents” meeting place and will do everything they can to help you find your child.
There will be tons of events for you and/or your children to enjoy together. You can find a list of what they have planned on this link – http://www.legokidsfest.com/austin/activities.html
So if you love Lego’s, want to enjoy them with other fans or just with your family – may I suggest this great convention as an end-of-the-summer event worth looking into!
