Being a college student and a blogger puts time limits on other things in my life such as cooking. Being able to make a meal that is great but simple is always a must. So when I got the chance to review an IMUSA electronic pressure cooker I was more than excited because I could see this saving me time. It would also help keep the oven off more in the summer time heat. IMUSA is the number one Hispanic Housewares Brand, with a wide variety of kitchen products. So when I ran across this site it made my day because there were tons of recipes. I finally picked and made Spanish rice that you can find here if you would like to make for yourself too. Now on to the review of the IMUSA electric pressure cooker that I received.The first thing I noticed is that it has many different settings that are all unique and useful. They are warm, steam, slow cook and brown. Also there is a delay time button, time and pressure button. The lid was very sturdy and I liked that you could hear it click into locking position when closed. There was no question about it the seal on the lid was very tight - you could tell by just looking at it. One of my favorite parts was the Removable Non-Stick Cooking Bowl that you use to cook in. I easily made Spanish rice and with no problem at all. I browned the rice in the pressure cooker and then made 8 servings of rice in less than 15 minutes. Even the cleaning was very easy and took less than 5 minutes. I simply threw the remains in the garbage and wiped it clean with a damp paper towel. Overall everything was easy to use and the direction book that comes with the pressure cooker is a great guide if you question anything while using and it is small enough for you to simply place in the pressure cooker when you are not using it.Now that you know about IMUSA you should check out there facebook page and website to get more recipes, ideas and learn about the new products the come out with.
