So every day I have people email me and say I want to start to extreme couponing and right away I am like UGH if you only knew what that meant. Then if you live in south Texas you know for sure that it would NEVER be possible only if you live on random crap food for the rest of your life. So I want to tell you the difference between the two couponing so you understand what I am saying when I tell you that I don’t teach extreme I teach true couponing.
| True Couponing | Extreme Couponing |
| You look at ads, clipping inserts and matchups 1-5 hours a week | You will spend at least 40 hours, looking at ads, matchups and cutting coupons |
| You get what you and your family will need for a few months maybe a year on some products | You will have more than a room full of stuff that might expire before you use. |
| You coupon for you can do stuff with your family with the extra money you save. | You wake up and breathe coupons and don’t really have a life beyond couponing. |
| Your main goal is to help your family save money | The goal is get do ONE big trip and show everyone one TV what you did to brag. |
| You shop around 1-3 hours a week for all your deals. | You shop for about 10-20 hours a week for all your deals. |
| Only have stores will take the coupon for the value and if you are a lucky reader you have a store that doubles your coupon. | They show you areas that have savings cards for extra savings or stores that double. |
| You are sure about the deals you get and that they are ethical. | The shows couponing that is not always ethical. |
| Makes couponing fun and away to save more money | Makes couponing look like an addiction to people who don’t coupon. |
| Savings are around 40-60% off each trip which is great. | Savings are 90% or more off a trip |
| You get 1-4 inserts a week depending on your family size and your needs. | You jump in dumpsters and/or buy tons of coupons. |
